Spring into action (make significant changes to improve Troy) The goal of Horizons is to create a Happy, thriving community where people work together to Organize and mobilize existing assets like individuals, groups, and services. These can then be combined with Resources and support from outside funders, in this case the University of Idaho Extension Office and the Northwest Area Foundation. The first step is to Initiate community conversations. This step has already been accomplished through Study Circles and an Action Forum. The next step is to Zealously build leadership through Leadership Plenty® trainings which increase our community’s leadership capacity. This step has also been completed. Together, all of this work allows the community of Troy to Own our own destiny--in essence, reinvent the future of Troy. We will accomplish this by kNowing where we are going because we have created a unified vision of what Troy would ultimately like to be at our Visioning Rally. With this vision in place, we will be ready to Spring into action and do the actual work of transforming Troy into what we have envisioned.
